Step 1 · Learn
Holistic SEO analysis: know exactly where you stand
Technical, content, authority, conversion and AI citability in one analysis, which then runs again every week.
Every Traze loop starts with learning: what is your site, what is your market and what is holding your visibility back? The holistic analysis crawls your complete site, compares it with the sites that win on your topics and checks whether AI engines can read and cite your pages. The result is not a report that ends up in a drawer, but a prioritised list of actions Traze picks up itself, with you as the approver.
What you get · concretely
What the holistic analysis delivers
- 01
Technical review
Crawlability, indexation, canonicals, hreflang, redirects, Core Web Vitals and structured data for every page. Each issue gets an impact score and the list of URLs where it occurs.
- 02
Content and topic coverage
Which topics you cover, which are thin or duplicated, where pages cannibalise each other and which questions in your market still have no answer on your site.
- 03
Authority and links
Your link profile next to your competitors', brand mentions without a link that could become one, and the internal link structure: which pages sit too deep to be found.
- 04
UX and conversion
Pages that get traffic but do not convert, with the cause: the intent does not match, there is no next step, the page is too slow on mobile or the message is unclear.
- 05
AI citability
Whether AI crawlers are allowed to read your site, whether pages give a direct answer, whether entities are consistent and whether there is an llms.txt. This part is missing from almost every classic audit.
- 06
Prioritised roadmap
All findings ranked by impact and effort, tied to the step in the loop that resolves them. What Traze can do itself is scheduled; what needs a developer becomes a ticket with an explanation.
What it is
What makes a holistic analysis different from an audit
A classic SEO audit is a snapshot of the technical layer: a crawl, a list of errors, a PDF. Useful, but it does not answer the question that matters: why does a competitor win on topics where you should be stronger? The answer is almost never in one place. It is a combination of missing topics, pages that cannot be reached, authority that does not flow through and content AI cannot cite.
Holistic therefore means: all layers at once, on the same data, with the same priority scale. A technical error that hits one high-traffic page ranks above an error that hits a hundred pages nobody searches for. A missing topic that AI engines already answer many questions about ranks above a topic with search volume alone.
And the analysis does not stop at the first report. Because Traze re-crawls and re-measures every week, the analysis becomes a living picture: you see what has improved, what is new and what the next action should be. How performance monitoring keeps the analysis fresh.
The analysis is also where the brand profile is born: Traze reads your site, your product information and your tone of voice, so everything it writes later sounds like you. What it cannot extract from your site, it asks you in a short intake. See how the brand profile steers the writing.
How it works · step by step
How the analysis works
Step 1
Full crawl
Traze crawls your site the way Googlebot does, including JavaScript rendering, and records status, canonical, indexing directives, load time, headings, schema and internal links per URL. Large sites are crawled in batches, with respect for your server.
Step 2
Connect data
Search Console and analytics are connected so every finding gets a weight: how much traffic and how many conversions depend on these pages? Without that data every priority is a guess.
Step 3
Map the market and competitors
For your most important topics Traze looks at which sites win in Google and which sources AI engines cite. It compares their topic coverage, structure and authority with yours and marks the gaps.
Step 4
Check AI readability
Traze tests whether GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot and Google-Extended can fetch your pages, whether your key pages give a direct answer, whether entities are consistent and whether llms.txt exists and is correct.
Step 5
Prioritise
Every finding is scored on impact (traffic, conversion, AI questions) and effort (can Traze do it itself, or is a developer needed). That produces a roadmap in order, not a list of three hundred loose items.
Step 6
Hand over to the loop
Content gaps go to the strategy, structural fixes to technical optimisation, rewrite actions to the content calendar. You approve the first round; after that the analysis runs weekly and reports what changes.
Why it matters
Why you start with the analysis
Without an analysis you optimise on gut feeling. You write about topics you already cover, you fix errors that return nothing and you miss the page that a canonical error has kept invisible for a year. A good analysis prevents months of work in the wrong direction.
The analysis is also the baseline. Every result Traze shows later (organic traffic, positions, AI citations) is set against this starting point. So you know what the platform has delivered, not just how things are going now. See how baselines show up in the case studies.
And because the analysis includes the AI layer, you see from day one where you stand in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. For most businesses that is a blind spot, and exactly where the growth of the coming years sits. Read how Traze measures AI visibility.

Comparison · old way versus Traze
Audit versus holistic analysis
| Area | Classic SEO audit | Traze |
|---|---|---|
| Format | PDF or spreadsheet, delivered once. | Living dashboard that refreshes every week. |
| Scope | Technical, sometimes content. AI answers are missing. | Technical, content, authority, conversion and AI citability, on the same data. |
| Priority | A list of hundreds of findings, sorted by type. | Ranked by impact and effort, weighted with your own traffic and conversions. |
| Follow-up | Your backlog, your developer, your time. | What Traze can do itself is scheduled and executed after your approval; the rest becomes a clear ticket. |
| Baseline | Disappears after delivery. | Stays the reference point for every result in your dashboard. |
| Cost | A separate engagement, often thousands of euros, every year again. | Included in every plan, without a separate invoice. |
Use cases · where it works
Where the analysis makes the difference
Web shops with many categories
Faceted navigation, filter pages and duplicated product copy make crawl budget and indexation unpredictable. The analysis shows which URLs count and which are only noise.
B2B and SaaS
Often strong product pages, but no coverage of the questions asked at the start of the customer journey. The content layer of the analysis makes that gap concrete, per topic.
Local businesses with several locations
Location pages that cannibalise each other, missing LocalBusiness schema and inconsistent address details. The analysis bundles this per location.
Sites after a migration or redesign
Lost redirects, changed URLs and vanished metadata become visible in one crawl, with the pages that lost the most traffic at the top.
International brands
Hreflang errors, duplicated language versions and markets without their own content. The analysis shows per country what is missing, so the strategy can differ per market.
Honestly · risks and limits
Where the analysis stops
An analysis changes nothing; execution does. The biggest risk of any audit is that the findings sit untouched. That is why the roadmap in Traze is tied directly to the loop: what the platform can do itself is scheduled. But server, hosting and CMS changes remain work for you or your developer, and without those fixes part of the gain stays on the table.
Traze crawls what it is allowed to see. Pages behind a login, in a staging environment or blocked by robots.txt are not analysed. Large sites have a weekly crawl limit so your server is never overloaded; the analysis of a site with hundreds of thousands of URLs is therefore a targeted sample, not a complete count.
Competitor data on authority and traffic comes from external sources and is an estimate. Use those numbers to set direction, not as exact truth. Your own Search Console data always leads.
