Step 5 · Optimise
Performance monitoring
Rankings, AI visibility and revenue in one always-on view — and every drop automatically becomes work.
Traze connects Search Console, Analytics and your CMS, samples AI answers across six engines and shows per page whether it's indexed, ranking, cited and converting. What lags goes to the optimisation queue; what changes goes in the log. You never wait for a report again.
What you get · concretely
What performance monitoring covers
- 01
SEO core numbers from the source
Clicks, impressions, CTR and positions from Search Console per page and per cluster, compared across periods. Not an estimated ‘traffic value’, but your own data.
- 02
AI visibility per engine
For your question set: how often your brand is named and your pages cited in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Copilot, and what share you hold against competitors.
- 03
Scorecard per page
Every page Traze publishes is tracked on four questions: indexed, ranking, cited, converting. What needs attention follows automatically.
- 04
Technical signals
Core Web Vitals, index coverage, schema validation and crawl errors, checked daily for regressions.
- 05
Alerts with thresholds
Ranking drops, lost citations, de-indexing, broken pages and notable competitor movements. By email or webhook, with a threshold you set.
- 06
Revenue link
With GA4 or Shopify connected you see conversions and revenue from organic and AI traffic per page and cluster. So you report results, not ‘pages live’.
What it is
What performance monitoring means at Traze
A monthly report tells you what happened last month. That's too late to act on and too coarse to see why. Traze measures at the rhythm the data becomes available — Search Console with a few days' delay, AI answers and technical signals daily — and shows everything in one place, per page, per cluster and per market. How AI visibility is measured exactly is explained under AI visibility.
The difference from a rank tracker is that monitoring at Traze doesn't stop at a number. A page dropping three positions, a citation in Perplexity disappearing or a category hub suddenly getting fewer impressions becomes a task in the optimisation queue with a proposed intervention. You approve, Traze executes, and the effect shows up in the same chart. The question set and clusters come from your content strategy.
And it's honest about what it knows. Google data comes from Search Console and is the truth. AI answers aren't deterministic; Traze therefore asks every question several times per engine and reports frequencies and trends instead of a single screenshot. Revenue numbers come from your GA4 or Shopify, not from an estimate. Run the free AI Visibility Check for a first measurement.
How it works · step by step
How it works
Step 1
Connect
You connect Search Console, GA4 (optionally Shopify) and your CMS. Usually fifteen minutes of work; nothing needs installing on your site.
Step 2
Set the question set and clusters
Traze derives from your strategy which keywords and which AI questions to track, per market and language. You can add or remove questions.
Step 3
Sample
Rankings and AI answers are sampled continuously; AI answers several times per question because they vary. Technical signals are checked daily.
Step 4
Assess per page
Every page gets the status indexed, ranking, cited and converting. Pages lagging on any of the four enter the optimisation queue with a proposal: rewrite, restructure or reinforce with internal links.
Step 5
Approve and execute
You approve proposals, Traze executes them in your CMS. Every change sits in the log with date and reason, so you can see the effect afterwards.
Step 6
Alert and summarise
Drops and regressions are flagged immediately. Once a month Traze writes a summary of what was done and what it delivered, exportable as CSV or via the API.
Why it matters
Why it matters
SEO and AI visibility aren't projects with an end date. Engines change, competitors publish, your own site changes. The only thing that protects you from silent decline is measuring at the rhythm of change and responding to it automatically. Technical regressions are caught by technical optimization.
It keeps the rest of Traze honest. Every page it writes and publishes is held to account here on results. What doesn't work isn't hidden in a report but visibly addressed. That's why we measure per page and not just per domain.
And it makes reporting an afterthought. Anyone who can look at the dashboard doesn't need to wait for a deck. That saves time for you and for us, and it takes interpretation out of the hands of whoever makes the report. The dashboard is in every plan; see pricing.

B2B and lead generation
From AI question to demo request: which comparison and service pages bring enquiries and which only bring visitors.
Multiple locations
Local positions and questions per location, with an alert when a branch slips.
International brands
A separate question set, dashboard and alerts per market and language. See where you win in Germany and lag in Belgium.

On Enterprise you follow all domains in one account, with a scorecard per brand and shared alert thresholds.
Honestly · risks and limits
Honest about the limits
AI visibility is a sample, not a census. We ask your questions several times of each engine and report how often you come back. That's the best available method, but not absolute truth, and the engines change their behaviour without notice. Look at trends, not at the day.
Search Console runs a few days behind and collects data differently from Analytics. Traze shows both side by side and explains the differences instead of averaging them away. Expect small discrepancies between sources; they're normal.
Revenue attribution is only as good as your connection. Without GA4 or Shopify you see traffic, not revenue. And correlation isn't proof: a page that ranks and sees revenue rise may also be benefiting from a campaign elsewhere. The dashboard gives you the numbers to ask that question.
What you risk without monitoring: noticing only when it's already too late. A lost category position, a competitor taking your spot in Perplexity or a de-indexing caused by a forgotten noindex shows up here within a day — not at the end of the quarter.
