Wix SEO services

Wix has a reputation to catch up on. For years the advice was 'for SEO you need to get off Wix', and that advice is out of date: Wix now renders server-side, generates sitemaps and structured data, lets you manage URLs, redirects and robots rules and has a decent blog and CMS. What holds Wix sites back is almost never the platform. It is that there are three service pages and an empty blog.

Traze fills that gap. We work out which pages your customers search for, write them, publish them into your Wix site and measure what they do in Google and in AI answers. No migration, no new website: the same site, but with the content and the settings you need to get found.

Focus · Wix SEO

What our Wix SEO focuses on

Most Wix sites belong to local businesses and service providers: clinics, practices, studios, consultants. That is what we build the approach around.

  • 01

One page per service, matching the intent

A 'Services' page with six paragraphs ranks for nothing. Every service deserves its own page covering the question, the price indication, the process and the frequently asked questions, so Google knows exactly what to show the page for.

  • 02

    Local visibility

Google Business Profile, consistent business details, location pages per branch or service area and reviews that appear on your site. For most Wix sites this is the fastest win.

  • 03

    A blog with a plan

The Wix blog is perfectly fine for SEO when it is part of a strategy: the questions your customers ask before booking, grouped into topics that link to your service pages.

  • 04

    The technical basics within Wix

Titles and meta descriptions per page, clean slugs, alt text, redirects after changes, compressed media and as few apps as possible. Wix gives you those controls; we set them correctly.

  • 05

    Structured data and direct answers

Wix outputs basic schema by default; we add FAQ, LocalBusiness and Service markup and write pages that answer the question in the first sentences, so AI assistants can cite you.

  • 06

Honest about the limits of Wix

For the vast majority of local and service businesses, Wix is more than enough. If your site ever becomes a catalogue of thousands of pages, we will say so and help with the move.

Approach

How Traze approaches Wix SEO

We start with your customers' questions. Traze researches what people search for in your region and field, in Google and in AI assistants, and which competitors currently show up for it. That becomes a content strategy that fits a Wix site: a limited number of strong service and location pages, and a blog that answers the questions around them. See how the content strategy is built.

For publishing we use the Wix APIs: blog posts and items in CMS collections go straight into your site with title, meta description, slug, category and image. For pages that need to be built in the Wix editor, such as new service pages, we deliver the content ready to publish in your dashboard, with headings, metadata and schema, so placing it takes minutes. Everything passes your approval first.

Then we measure per page: rankings, traffic, local visibility and whether your brand appears in AI answers for the questions that matter. Pages that lag get rewritten or extended, and the technical settings are re-checked at every scan. More about AI visibility and how we measure it.

Deep dive

What we improve on a Wix site

A Wix site has fewer controls than WordPress, but the controls it does have are rarely used well. These are the six areas where we make the difference.

Getting the technical basics right, within what Wix allows

Wix handles a lot automatically: sitemap, canonicals, mobile rendering, SSL. What you have to do yourself lives in the SEO panel per page and in the site settings: a unique title and meta description per page, readable slugs instead of 'copy-of-services-2', alt text for images, and 301 redirects for every URL you have ever changed. We check this for every page and repair what is off.

Speed is the most sensitive point on Wix. The infrastructure is shared and fast in itself, but a page with twenty high-resolution photos, three videos, a chat widget and five apps from the App Market gets slow. We measure Core Web Vitals per page, remove what does not contribute, compress media and limit apps to what you actually use. Read how technical optimization works at Traze.

Service pages that match search intent

Someone searching 'forehead botox price' or 'physiotherapy shoulder' wants a page about exactly that, not an overview of everything you do. Most Wix sites have one services page with short blocks. We build a dedicated page per service: what it is, who it is for, how it works, what it costs or what that depends on, and the questions people ask before they call.

That structure works twice: Google can show the page for the specific query, and AI assistants find a direct answer they can cite. If you operate in several places, the key services also get a variant per location or service area. See our approach to lead generation through search.

Getting found locally: Google Business Profile and location pages

For a clinic, practice or studio, most enquiries come from local searches: 'dentist Utrecht', 'skin clinic near me'. Those are largely decided in Google Maps and the local pack at the top of the results, and that runs on your Google Business Profile, your reviews and the consistency of your business details across the web.

We make sure your profile is complete and matches your site, link reviews back to the relevant service pages, and build a location page per branch or service area with its own content, opening hours, directions and LocalBusiness schema. Wix makes that easy; it just has to be done. More about local SEO.

The Wix blog as an engine for long-tail search traffic

The questions people ask before becoming a customer ('how long is the recovery after', 'what does it cost', 'what is the difference between') account for most of the search volume in almost every service sector. A blog post that answers such a question and points to the service page is the simplest way to reach those visitors.

Traze plans those posts in topics around your services, writes them in your voice and publishes them through the Wix Blog API with category, tags, featured image and metadata. That way your blog grows every month by a fixed number of pages that together claim a topic, instead of loose posts whenever there happens to be time. See how we build a blog calendar.

Getting cited by ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity

More and more people ask an AI assistant for a recommendation: 'which clinic in Amsterdam does good laser treatments'. Those answers come from pages the model can read and trust. A Wix site can absolutely show up there, provided the pages contain direct answers, your business is marked up as a clear entity (name, location, services, reviews) and the content is current.

We write every page with that goal, add the right schema markup through the Wix settings and then measure per engine whether you are mentioned, and where a competitor still does better. Read how AI visibility works and how we measure it.

Want to focus specifically on AI answers? Then our AI SEO approach is the starting point. More about AI SEO.

When Wix becomes the ceiling, and when it does not

Let's be honest: Wix has limits. Large catalogues with filters, thousands of programmatic pages, complex multilingual structures or full control over the server are not what Wix was built for. If that is where you are heading, WordPress or a headless platform is the better foundation, and we help you make that move without losing traffic.

But most businesses on Wix never get there. A clinic with twenty services, three locations and a blog of a hundred articles can do everything described above on Wix. Moving is then money and risk without return. We will tell you if it is different in your case. Compare with our WordPress SEO approach.

  • Every page passes your approval; you set the tone and the pace.
  • A fixed monthly price, cancellable monthly, with a dashboard that shows what every page delivers.

Who it is for

Who Traze's Wix SEO is for

  • Clinics, practices and studios on Wix that want more appointments from Google and AI answers.
  • Local service providers with several branches or service areas that want to be found per location.
  • Business owners who built their Wix site themselves and find there is never time for content.
  • Companies that were told by an agency they 'need to get off Wix' and want to know first whether that is actually true.
  • Marketers managing a Wix site alongside ten other tasks who want to outsource content production without losing control.

Ready to grow your Wix site every month, without a migration and without the hassle?

Frequently asked questions about Wix SEO

Direct answers, including what it costs.

Traze works with fixed monthly prices per number of published pages: Start at €590 per month (10 pages), Growth at €990 (20 pages) and Scale at €1,690 (40 pages) on an annual contract. A rolling monthly contract is available at a slightly higher rate. For most Wix sites, Start is the logical beginning: ten pages a month is exactly the pace at which you build out service and location pages and a blog. A custom Enterprise plan exists, but Wix sites rarely need it.
