WordPress SEO services

WordPress runs more than forty percent of the web, and the search results show it: almost every keyword has a WordPress site ranking for it, and almost every keyword has one that should be ranking better. Installing an SEO plugin is not a strategy. What makes the difference is which pages you publish, how they connect and whether the technical layer underneath stays out of the way.

Traze researches your market, writes the pages you are missing, publishes them into your own site through the WordPress REST API and keeps adjusting them based on rankings and AI visibility. You approve, the rest runs on its own. That is how your WordPress site grows in Google and in the answers of ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity without you spending hours on it every week.

Focus · WordPress SEO

What our WordPress SEO focuses on

WordPress is flexible, and that flexibility is exactly what causes most of its SEO problems. These are the issues we find on almost every WordPress site and fix first.

  • 01

A content plan instead of loose blog posts

Most WordPress blogs are a pile of unrelated articles. We build topic clusters instead: one pillar page per subject with supporting articles that link back to it, so Google and AI models recognise you as the source for that topic.

  • 02

    Archives and thin pages

Tag, date and author archives, attachment pages on older installs and empty categories flood your index with pages that have no value. We decide per archive type what may be indexed and set the rest to noindex or redirect it.

  • 03

    Page builders and load speed

Elementor, Divi and WPBakery make building easy and pages heavy. We measure Core Web Vitals per template type and go after the biggest offenders: unnecessary scripts, uncompressed images, missing caching.

  • 04

Plugin settings that fight each other

Yoast, Rank Math, a redirect plugin, a cache plugin and a security plugin all touching your URLs or headers: that goes wrong. We check canonicals, sitemaps, robots rules and redirects in one place and remove the duplicates.

  • 05

    Publishing without manual work

Approved pages go straight into your site through the REST API, with title, meta description, slug, categories, featured image, schema and internal links. As drafts or live, your choice.

  • 06

    Visible in AI answers

A WordPress site can absolutely be cited by ChatGPT or Perplexity, but only if its pages answer the question directly, name clear entities and ship structured data. We write and mark up pages with that in mind.

Approach

How Traze approaches WordPress SEO

We do not start with plugins, we start with your market. Traze reads your site, your competitors and the questions your customers ask in Google and in AI assistants, and turns that into a content strategy: which topics to claim, which pages that takes and in what order they pay off fastest. You approve that strategy before anything gets written. See how the content strategy is built.

Then Traze writes the pages in your tone of voice, with a citability score per page, and publishes them in WordPress the way you would: in the right category, with the right fields filled in Yoast or Rank Math and with internal links to existing pages. Every page passes your approval first; nothing goes live without a human having seen it. Read how AI content creation with human review works.

Alongside that, a technical check keeps running. Traze continuously scans your site for crawl issues, speed, broken links and indexing errors, and delivers fixes you or your developer can apply. Technical work and content move in the same rhythm, from the same analysis. More about technical optimization.

Deep dive

What we improve on a WordPress site

Every WordPress site is different, but the levers are surprisingly consistent. These are the six areas where we make the biggest difference.

Content clusters that claim a topic

A blog with two hundred posts that each cover something different ranks for nothing. A cluster of fifteen pages about one subject does rank: a pillar page that covers the topic fully, supporting articles that answer every sub-question and internal links that hold it all together. That is how you build topical authority, the signal Google and AI models use to decide who to treat as a source.

Traze maps which clusters exist in your market, which you already partly cover and where competitors rank instead of you. For each cluster you get a prioritised list of pages with the search query, the intent and the page type: guide, comparison, service page or FAQ. That is your content calendar for the coming months. Discover how clusters shape your content strategy.

Because the clusters are fixed, production can run on a schedule: a set number of pages every month that fill the cluster further, without anyone having to decide what the next article should be about. This is how automated SEO works in practice.

Publishing through the REST API, in your own structure

WordPress has a mature REST API, and we use it. Traze connects with an application password on its own user role, with exactly the permissions it needs: create posts and pages, assign categories, upload media. No plugin that slows your site down, no FTP access, no shared admin login.

When publishing, Traze fills in everything your editor would: SEO title and meta description in Yoast or Rank Math, the slug, the featured image with alt text, categories and tags according to your taxonomy and, where needed, custom fields through ACF. If you use custom post types for services or locations, we publish into those. Schema for Article, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList ships with the page. See what ships with every page.

Per site you choose whether pages arrive as drafts or go live directly after approval in the Traze dashboard. Most customers start with drafts and switch after a few weeks, once they see the quality is consistent.

Technical clean-up: archives, speed and plugins

A default WordPress install produces more URLs than you think. Every tag gets an archive page, every author, every month, and on older installs every image. Add pagination and feeds and a site with three hundred articles easily has two thousand indexable URLs, most of which answer no query at all. That wastes crawl budget and dilutes your authority.

We decide per type what is valuable (categories with their own copy usually are, tags and date archives almost never) and consistently set the rest to noindex or redirect them. Then we look at speed: page builders, sliders and tracking scripts are the usual suspects. We measure per template and give your developer a concrete fix list, ranked by impact. Getting cited by ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity

AI assistants pull their answers from pages they can understand and trust. For a WordPress site that means: an intro that answers the question in the first two sentences, headings that name the sub-questions literally, an author with a real profile and structured data that says what the page is and who it belongs to.

Traze writes every page with that goal and then measures per engine whether your brand shows up in the answers. Your dashboard shows which pages are cited, for which questions, and where a competitor is still mentioned more often than you. That steers the next round of content. More about AI SEO and visibility in AI answers.

Multilingual WordPress with WPML or Polylang

Many WordPress sites are multilingual, and something is almost always off: missing hreflang tags, translated pages canonicalising to the source language, or a second language that only covers the homepage and three service pages. Traze works with WPML and Polylang and publishes each language into the right language version, with the hreflang link intact.

More important than the technical side: we do not translate clusters, we build them per language. The questions a German customer asks are different from those of a Dutch one, and so are the pages you need. See our approach to multilingual SEO.

WordPress with WooCommerce underneath

If WooCommerce runs under your site, store-specific questions come into play: category pages with their own copy, filters and attributes that must not spawn a thousand URLs, product schema that matches price and stock. We have a dedicated approach for that, and it runs neatly alongside the content work above. Read more about WooCommerce SEO.

Why Traze

Why WordPress sites choose Traze

Plenty of agencies offer WordPress SEO. The difference is what happens after the audit: with us, the strategy actually gets executed, every month, inside your own site.

  • Works with what you already have: Yoast or Rank Math, ACF, your page builder and your theme all stay in place.
  • Publishes through the REST API, not copy and paste: metadata, schema and internal links are always included.
  • Every page is approved by a human before it goes live; you set the pace and the tone.
  • Technical work and content in one rhythm: fixes and new pages come from the same analysis and the same dashboard.
  • A fixed monthly price for a fixed number of published pages, cancellable monthly, instead of a bundle of hours.

Who it is for

Who Traze's WordPress SEO is for

  • Service businesses with a WordPress site and a blog that has stood still for years, who want customers from Google and AI answers instead of only from ads.
  • Marketing teams running a corporate WordPress site that need more content than they can write and publish themselves.
  • Companies with several WordPress sites or language versions that want one consistent approach instead of a different agency per site.
  • Business owners who had an SEO agency before, got a report, but never got the pages.
  • WordPress sites with WooCommerce that want content and store optimisation in one programme.
